The Luna Collective

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by local jazz band, the Luna Collective! About the band:

The Luna Collective is a Boston based quintet dedicated to preserving and performing the music of Art Blakey’s many Jazz Messengers. The band works to transcribe and perform the original arrangements performed by the Messengers, sharing what they learn about those recordings and the musicians who made them with audiences as they go. In addition to club dates and other appearances around New England the Luna Collective hosts two monthly jam sessions in the Boston area; Luna Sessions every Thursday night at The Luna Theater in Lowell and Devlin’s Restaurant in Brighton the last Wednesday of each month.
