According to Chef Sahar Ahmed, “We love to cook. Food to us isn’t only nourishment, it’s a way to communicate and create memories. We grew up in an Egyptian family where the preparing and sharing of food was the way we celebrated and maintained our culture. There is almost always a story tied to food, and it’s the stories that connect us. No matter what our cultural background is, the preparation and eating of food is something we all have in common with one another and it is the sharing of food with others that keeps us connected.”
